MARYLAND BAY BRIDGE BOAT SHOW TO PROMOTE GREEN BOATING INITIATIVES

The Bay Bridge Boat Show, April 24-27 2008, produced by United States Yacht Shows, Inc. is raising awareness about environmentally conscience efforts towards boating that has made an impact in out Bay and the community. With new technologies and trends making environmentally sound boating possible, it is important to recognize those who have made firm commitments to a cleaner and healthier marine environment.

The Bay Bridge Marina, host of the Bay Bridge Boat Show, has long exceeded the requirements necessary to be designated a "Clean Marina" by the Department of Natural Resources. The marina has adopted many important practices to ensure this designation, including organizing specific maintenance areas, petroleum control, spill prevention plans, and proper sewage handling and waste disposal. These standards can initially be more costly, but the benefits are substantial for the environment and for future financial savings.The Bay Bridge Boat Show, the largest spring boat show in the Mid-Atlantic, is the perfect boat show for the whole family.
